KAITLIN CONGO #3/14

"One of the guards offered to help me escape if I could raise one thousand three hundred and fifty dollars. I told my wife to sell our clothes in the bazaar."

Picture by Wagner T. Cassimiro "Aranha"

This picure symbolizes/represents the struggle Abdul Haq and his family had to endure for him to be able to get out of the "jail" he was in. He and his family had so sacrifice almost everything, from selling clothes (hense the picture) or having his daughters go without meat.. to him aksing everyone he knew possible for extra money so he could be let go by the guards. That period in his life was tough, and a struggle he had to indure and it hit not only him but his family too .. especially the daughters altering the way in which they ate which is a mjor deal in a persons life, being forced to become a vegetarian is the epitome of sacrifice.
