DANA SAYDAK #3 of 14

"He feared that, as word spread of what he had done spread thought the city, an angry Lennon woul dappear and start firing bullets as him through the care windows." (P.48)

Although the gun he just used is still warm, Chapman can't do anything more but to think of himself. He fears what ha has just done; he fears someone will kill again, because of his killing. The image I chose is that of a man an a gun. It shows the fire coming off the gun, just like it is of Chapman's. Chapman is unable to accept responsibility for what he has just done, and instead turns around to worry about himself. He could, instead, worry about the impact he has made on the world around him. And yet, doesn't seem to give a damn.
