Danielle Grava Post # 2/14

"In only five days the Leeds property had begun to look neglected. The lawn was uneven, and wild onions sprouted above the grass. Small branches had fallen in the yard. Graham wanted to pick them up. The house seemed asleep, the latticed porch striped and dappled with the long morning shadows of the trees."

In life when someone has passed it is so hard to feel their presence. Instead I believe we feel their absence. This quote really stresses the absence of the Leeds. It's only been five days and you can feel the 'death' when your on their property, or when you drive by and you see how unkept and desolate their once lively home has become. I felt sad when I read that. I chose a picture without a house because I feel like the house isn't the significant part of this, it's all about the fact that the Leedes are fading away. This image shows that. It is blurry and the people are fading off in the distance.
