Katie Faunce Post #3

"It concerns me that the two aspects of life in this town that are best known throughout the rest of the world are an annual celebration of public drunkenness and a cheap nasty murder"

In the quote his town is being singled out for all of the wrong that occurs within it. They are known for murders, DUI's, and people simply being outlaws. Everyone has biases about cities and towns throughout the world. Places like Harlem and Detroit are known for crime and violence, while places like Miami and Hawaii are filled with people with a lot of money looking to have fun. People tend to find it easier to look at the negatives over the positives because the negatives seem bigger and outweigh the positives. We should all start looking at things with an optimistic and positive outlook instead of pointing out flaws.
