Myall Budden #10/14

“The shards and shambles into which his life had fallen the night before lay in ruins around him.”

Its funny how sometimes when you are at you weakest point, you become stronger in the process. When people are vulnerable, weak, even desperate, you see that person change. For the better or the worse, no one knows, but stronger, undoubtedly. Just as this picture below shows a bridge in ruins, the picture itself is pointing out the strength and resilience of the structure. The beauty is not necessarily found in the architecture, the essence of the picture is the strength the structure had to reach this point in time. As it becomes older, more weathered, and visibly more damaged, the strength of the structure is merely heightened. Thus, though the sentence above may seem depressing and sad, he is merely at a point in his life where he will grow and become stronger. I believe the picture highlights the strength and uniqueness that people who have endured extreme misfortune carry along with them.
