Katie Faunce post #7

"He drives to the end of 38th Street, and parks under the spreading arms of an old oak tree."

This quote is referring to Jesse. He finds security and peace under this old tree. It is the only place he can go that he feels as if he is escaping from his problems. The quote describes the tree as having "spreading arms" this reminded me of an embrace. The picture I chose is a picture of a man embracing a woman. The main feature is a strong arm. This arm is keeping her safe, just like the tree is keeping Jesse safe. I also noticed that the dark blue color makes me assume that there is darkness around them that they are hiding from. Jesse is also hiding from the darkness which is the trouble he is in for murdering someone.
