BRIAN STANIS POST 7 OF 13

"Perhaps there is not much more needed in a recipe for happiness . . . we become complete only through our children."

The meaning of family was crucial during the WWII era. Families learned that the most important things in their lives were their families, and most of all their children. they came to see that their children would be carrying their family names on long after they were gone and they must teach them well. They also came to see that the time spent as a child is the most precious, filled with happiness and energy. The reason this quote and picture best match up is because the smiles on the children's faces not only shows their happiness but it also gives people now, as well as back in the 1940's something to look at and smile about, even in the worst of times.
